Zeena's second solo album 'Transcend' debuts at Snow Gallery NYC on June 3rd, 2023, for their third exhibition in a series, 'Movement of the Triangle,' inspired by Kandinsky’s 'Concerning the Spiritual in Art.' The exhibition also marks the first time originals of Zeena's visual art are shown together with works of her recently deceased godfather Kenneth Anger.
Music from this album will play as sound installation throughout the run of the Movement of the Triangle exhibition, ending July 29th, 2023. The full album will continue to be available, after the exhibit ends, at Zeena's Bandcamp site.
All good things come in threes:
The tree lengthy pieces in this album total 52 minutes altogether, affording the listener ample meditative journeys of contemplation and sonic catharsis, ending with an exhilaratingly triumphant sense of dashing through space and time, releasing the ballast of all pain and suffering, emerging as a Victor. The succinct titles focus on specific Buddhist themes, directing the mind toward wider and deeper understanding of ones own spiritual path and experience.
*Pre-orders for the album Transcend, can be ordered from zeenaschreck.bandcamp.com/
*The album's official release is June 4th, 2023, the day following its debut at Snow Gallery NYC and a date of immense Buddhist importance, Saga Dawa Düchen, the anniversary of Buddha's Enlightenment and Parinirvana.
Album cover for Transcend is a detail from a larger piece, 'Ladders,' original art by Zeena Schreck on display at Snow Gallery until July 2nd, 2023.

Bring Me The Head of F.W. Murnau: A Ghost Story in Six Acts
After a long career in collaborative music projects, Bring Me The Head of F.W. Murnau: A Ghost Story in Six Acts is Zeena Schreck's first entirely solo recording project. Inspired by news reports on July 15, 2015, that the director's head had been stolen from his grave, the tone poems in this recording are sonic necromancy, reflecting the transition from the end of Murnau's worldly life to what his disembodied consciousness may have experienced in the afterlife. Many of the intricate sounds heard in these tracks were captured in field recordings at Murnau's former residence in Berlin and at his grave site in Stahnsdorf, Germany. The presence of the cinematic Master is perceived most effectively when listening to the tracks altogether, in sequential order, preferably with eyes closed and/or lights out. Official release date was March 11, 2020, the 89th memorial anniversary of F.W. Murnau's tragic, untimely death. All music and vocals composed and performed by Zeena Schreck, with the exception of drums by Hisham A. Bharoocha on track 4, “Tabu”. Format: Extended Play CD with digipak cover and four-color, four-page, side-pocket insert. Cover art: Original mixed media painting created especially for this sound art project by Ben Vaughn Zeitlin; concept by Zeena Schreck. Photos of Zeena Schreck at F.W. Murnau's grave by Lance Anderson. All other photos, graphic design and layout concept in the CD by Zeena Schreck. Mixed and mastered in Berlin by Georg Kempa. Made in the Black Forest, Germany. Milarepa mantra chanted during meditation by Zeena for CHÖKHOR DÜCHEN, 2017.
In the Buddhist tradition, today is celebrated as the first teaching given by the Buddha Shakyamuni after attaining Enlightement. Any mantras recited on this day accumulate the positive merit ten million times. During the day's mantra meditations, as Zeena chanted the Milarepa mantra, birds came to listen. The Tibetan sage Milarepa, born nearly a thousand years ago, was a powerful black magician in Tibet who renounced his sorcery ways, dedicating himself to the Dharma teachings. As a result, he become fully enlightened in one lifetime. Milarepa is not only a source of inspiration to Zeena, who has also followed a similarly extreme path in life, but it is also into his lineage that she is initiated by her heart lama H.E. Ayang Rinpoche, one of the yogi lineage holders who has maintained Milarepa's teachings in pure, undiluted and unbroken form. Gratitude to H.E. Ayang Rinpoche for the image of Milarepa, Vajradhara and Vajrayogini used at the beginning of the video and for his wisdom and compassion which are boundless.
A clip of Buddha Amibabha & Medicine Buddha Ritual
This clip depicts Tibetan Buddhist practices. Zeena renounced Satanism, her family's beliefs and severed use of the family name, "LaVey," in 1990. Therefore, whether you are Christian, Satanist or any other religion, please respect Zeena's chosen path of tantric Buddhism and NOT misinterpret or mislabel her or these sacred mantras as "satanic". Thank you.

50th Anniversary as Ritual Performance Artist & Spiritual Warrior
San Francisco is currently celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love. This week also marks the dark-side of the city's history. On May 23, 1967 Zeena made her international debut as performance-artist at the first public satanic baptism, orchestrated by her parents' in-house carnival show. She has commemorated the event by creating a personally charged reflective, meditative ritual in the form of a soundscape and video collage. [Video below]

After a twenty-four year retreat from the German music scene, this event was Zeena Schreck‘s return to sonic magic performance-art appearances in Europe. A historical event by a legendary figure of modern magic, mysticism, and experimental-ambient music—this is more than just a secular musical concert. Surrounded by the sacred, magically charged ancient artifacts housed in Leipzig’s Egyptian Museum, the performance was a unique ritual soundscape composed by Zeena especially to suit the theme of the Egyptian Museum. As Zeena is also High Priestess of Seth and leader of the Sethian Liberation Movement, the Egyptian Museum was a prime genius-loci to present ancient Egyptian aspects of Zeena’s spiritual-sonic practices. This was the second in a series of ritual music installments inaugurated with the 2013 performance-art event at The Community Church of New York, curated by Performa-13.
Historical context: Professor Albrecht Dieterich, a student of the University of Leipzig, wrote the first study in modern times of the god Abraxas with his influential Abraxas: Studien zur Religionsgeschichte des spätern Altertums published in Leipzig in 1891. He was also one of the first scholars to work with the Greek Magical Papyri or Papyri Graecae Magicae, a collection of ancient magical spells, formulae, hymns, and rituals from Graeco-Roman Egypt, a body of treatises essential to Zeena’s work reviving an authentic Sethian religion in modern times. Continuing the Leipzig and WGT connection to the ancient Egyptian god Seth, Karl Preisendanz collected the texts and published them in two volumes in 1928 and 1931. A projected third volume, containing new texts and indices, reached the stage of galley proofs dated “Pentecost 1941,” (WGT is always held on Pfingsten or Pentecost), but the type was destroyed during the bombing of Leipzig during World War II.
This performance was comprised of excerpts from these very texts, thereby bringing many of these ancient spells to life once again, after thousands of years in silence, by chanting them aloud in a public house of ancient Egyptian religious artifacts.

Lyrics
Zeena:
Full moon commands the tides to flow for us in a secret sea Love invincible
Lighthouse beckons in this raging storm The ship is sailing far, far from shore
Nikolas:
Sacred rite of blood that gave birth to thee Fated unity Love conquers all
Zeena:
...Conques All
Red light of Venus shining forth Love invincible as morning star
When we first kissed we knew everything simply everything we're a cult of two
Nikolas:
...Cult of two
Zeena:
When we first loved we killed everyone simply everyone we're a cult of two
Nikolas:
...Cult of two
In your heart lays the key to a mystery A great mystery
Love conquers all
In your eyes all the secrets of alchemy were revealed to me
Love conquers all
In your kiss was there born a mythology A new mythology Love conquers all
Zeena:
...Conquers all
Fortuna crowns us with laurel leaves, endless victories
Red light of Venus Shining forth as Morning Star Morning Star
Nikolas:
In the last crimson rays of the setting sun you are beautiful
Together:
Love conquers all.

LYRICS
Let me tell you sweet a tale about a kitty. She was a little spy she kept her litter pretty
Some girls catch butterflies; some like precious jewels; this cat collects secrets from her drooling menagerie of fools
Where do the secrets go when the life of kitty dies? Does she take them to the grave, or bring them back with her next life?
Some kitties play with string, some enjoy little mice. The kitties who play with danger are sure to play with your life.
The walls have eyes. Cats have nine lives. If you laugh now, A cat may someday be your wife.
You may wonder how, I know all these nasty secrets. When the birdies start to tweet, I go into one of my cat-fits.
Some people hear pretty music, some hear a ring in their head. I hear your anguished stories as you lay still in bed.
The walls have ears. Keep shut your fears. Or they will haunt you when you stare into the mirror.
The walls have eyes. Cats have nine lives. You may try to run, but you can never hide.
When this present life of mine comes to an end, and you think my mewer's shut tight remember I'll come back again.
So next time you see a cat cross, with the flickering of her tail, I may be fixing to pounce And drain your blood 'til you're pale.
The walls have eyes. Cats have nine lives. And you will see those eyes before you when you die. ***************************

LYRICS
Two becomes one One becomes none None becomes forever Again and again
Beauty and Beast Blended in bliss by the serpent's kiss
Between sleeping and waking is dreaming.
Venus and Mars Love and War No one ever wonders why it's not so anymore.
Is romance dead? Chivalry forgotten? In this time of decadence.
Brother and sister share secret love Twin lives together as hand and glove
Fire melts ice Day turns to night Life becomes death No wrong, no right
Blood flows from the heart Thoughts flow from the brain emotion is real only in your own game
Armor and lace Dagger and rose We hold in this long embrace
Between breathing and loving is living
Now stand man and woman At the break of day Destiny awaits them They soar far away
Two will be as one
Always. *************

LYRICS
Down, down, down, through the ages of lost forgotten souls. Feel dizzy approaching the gate; hear primal screams -- don't run, it's too late.
Dance with me, dance with me she laughs You cry as you're slowly sucked under Midsummernight's sky.
Succubus, succubus never is late and a victim is waiting at Pagan Gate.
Spinning her web 'round your twirling head. She sucks you dry while you wish you were dead.
There's blood on her lips; your fate in her eyes. But you'll not see it with your head 'tween her thighs.
Rain washes like fire in Summer soon dear; morbid desire has no room for fear.
At Heidentor Heidentor.
Dance with me, dance with me, she laughs. You cry as you're slowly sucked under Midsummernight's sky.
Succubus, succubus never is late when a victim is waiting at Pagan Gate.
At Heidentor Heidentor Heidentor.
There's blood on her lips; your fate in her eyes. But you'll not see it with your head 'tween her thighs.
Spinning her web 'round your twirling head. She sucks you dry while you wish you were dead.
Can you hear the hot winds howl and the footfall of the prowl? Initiation now complete in closed, dark chambers of your sleep.
Only one short night ago you entered these doors from mortal sorrow.
Tomorrow morning you wake with strange sensation that lust you will take.
At Heidentor Heidentor Heidentor.
Now you are she in this endless fate. As the next one awaits you, at Pagan Gate. *****************

LYRICS
Female:
From Verenal comes the Prince Wildwolf Riding surreptitiously on phantom wagons from town to town
Usually he is seen riding on one of the coach horses On this particular occasion he rides into the banquet hall and dismounts
His sharp dogs claws won't catch on the hard waxen floor So he falls and is unable to stand
Her Majesty the Queen enters with a cat up to her cheek and throws everybody out then squeals as she spots her unexpected visitor
He speaks in a growling voice that only she can understand
Male:
“I'm from Kambach. Kambach. I'm the wolf of the Kambach road. A good place to lose your whatnot. I take you now for my shameful wicked new-mown hay girl.
“This means make a wish to Faltenheim filth ...I've already made mine And hurl salt over your shoulder at Midnight”
Can such a wild werewolf be tamed? He is smelling the new-mown hay for perhaps the last time.
Seeing as the Prince is a werewolf, Her Majesty kisses him and she becomes one also
Female:
“My Highness is craziness and yet this Highness is me (Howl)”
The wolves go into the chapel Their black fur is left on the pews Then their amorous chase continues out into the garden
Male:
“I know your name, your Highness but do you know mine?
Female:
“Of course! You're the snarling Prince Wildwolf And when I'm in my nightgown you'll linger in my shadow
“I'll be punished for losing my whatnots But then, what's a good whatnot for?
“Sing me dead and kiss me dead Hold me close and never wake me”
Male:
“I play dark music to the gown of your Highness I foam at the lips whenever I kiss you”
Female:
“The Prince Wildwolf seeps into her shadow and joins her in the dark of her royal bedroom”
Together:
Sing me dead and kiss me dead Hold me close and never wake me ******************
