“How Would You Approach a Queen?”The role of ritual cunnilingus in Western magical alchemy and Eastern mysticism

27/4/2015

Picture
Khajuraho Temple, India
Journalist Tony Sokol asks Zeena about the role of cunnilingus in magical alchemy and Eastern tantric practices for his review of the popular US TV show Salem: Book of Shadows

Below, we share with you the complete, unedited quotes she gave him, from her book Demons of the Flesh.

[Note: The phrase Feminine Daemonic was first coined by Zeena and Nikolas Schreck in Demons of the Flesh. "Daemonic" in this context does not mean “like a demon” but rather uses the classical greek spelling and definition to mean “spirit,” hence the 'feminine principle' or 'feminine spirit.']

Vedic left-hand path Tantrikas place great emphasis on the vaginal

secretions of the female, ingesting them as the pure distillation of feminine

energy in rites venerating the shakti's vulva. This fluid, called amrita, or "elixir

of immortality" is sometimes believed to be vitalized with magical properties

transformative of human consciousness, an agent quickening the process of

Kundalini, the awakening of the Feminine Daemonic in the male. The female

amrita consumed in left-hand path sexual rites is considered most powerful in

shakti at the time of menstruation, a fact which has sometimes been compared

to the elusive "ruby elixir" referred to in Western alchemical texts as a

medicine for the soul. Erotic statuary in India's celebrated Khajuraho Temple

depicts scenes of ritual cunnilingus that indicate a strong left-hand path

influence. In the Chinese sex-magical tradition, the orgasmic flow of the

female partner's Bartholin's gland fluid was also thought to be a substance rich

with yin, the feminine life-force potable in a physical libation granting

immortality.

In both the Taoist and Tantric traditions, great emphasis is placed on

the necessity of absorbing the sexual secretion only from consorts

demonstrating obvious physical health and vitality. Illness is said to nullify or

even poison the effects of the amrita upon the adept.

Even within the sometimes austere constrictions of the Islamic world,

home to an ancient magical heritage, decidedly left-hand path sex-magical

traditions continue to be practiced by Muslim magicians. Often these involve

the use of sexual secretions and menstrual blood as sorcerous agents, as in the

societally disreputable but fairly common utilization of sihr sufli, which has

sometimes been described as a form of Arabic black magic. Such rites require

that the sorcerer performs a prolonged act of copulation with a female – as is

often the case in the Tantric Vama Marga, the sorcerer's consort must not be

married to him. It is also considered preferable if the woman is menstruating, a

condition every bit as much of a taboo within Islam as it is in Hindu culture.

At the completion of the act, the mingled semen, feminine secretions, and

blood are carefully permeated into an absorbent piece of fabric. The erotically

charged fabric is then ritually burnt, whilst the sorcerer calls upon one of the

djinn – the demons of Arabic sorcery – to act in his stead in the daemonic

realm. This rite, which draws on the veiled, repressed power of the Feminine

Daemonic surging beneath the outwardly male-oriented surface of Arab life,

is of course considered a defilement by orthodox Islam. As with all left-hand

path procedures, it is the taboo-breaking nature of the activity that endows

this kind of sexual sorcery with its force.

The Aghori's preferred initiatrix in sexual congress is a menstruating

woman of the "untouchable" lower caste, whose menstrual blood mingled

with his own semen is sometimes consumed at the conclusion of the rite.

This Aghori practice has a secular analogue in a modern Western "sect"

dedicated to taboo-transgression; a well-known rite of initiation for the Hell's

Angels motorcycle club decrees that the Angel must "earn his wings" by

performing cunnilingus on a menstruating woman.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Zeena Schreck Returns To The German Music Scene After 24 Years
Performing A Typhonian Tantric Ritual Soundscape at the Egyptian Museum, University of Leipzig

Presented by: Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival for dark music and arts.
Saturday May 23, 2015 - Doors open at 7PM
Egyptian Museum of the University of Leipzig - Prof. Dr. Hans-W. Fischer-Elfert // Goethestraße 2 //
04109 Leipzig
Admission with the WGT pass // no reserved seating

Description
After a twenty-four year retreat from the German music scene, this event is Zeena Schreck's return to
sonic magic performance-art appearances in Europe. An historical event by a legendary figure of modern
magic, mysticism and experimental-ambient music – this is more than just a secular musical concert. It will
touch the audience with divine blessings and plant the seeds necessary for spiritual liberation and
enlightenment.
Surrounded by the sacred, magically charged ancient artifacts housed in Leipzig's Egyptian Museum, the
performance will be a unique ritual soundscape. Zeena is also High Priestess of Seth and leader of
the Sethian Liberation Movement. Therefore, the Egyptian Museum is a prime genius-loci to present
ancient Egyptian aspects of Zeena's spiritual practices.
This is the second in a series of ritual musical installments inaugurated with the 2013 performance-art
event at The Community Church of New York
, curated by Performa-13.

Historical Context: The Leipzig-Seth-Abraxas Connection
Professor Albrecht Dieterich, a student of the University of Leipzig, wrote the first study in modern times of
the god Abraxas with his influential Abraxas: Studien zur Religionsgeschichte des spätern Altertums
published in Leipzig in 1891. He was also one of the first scholars to work with the Greek Magical Papyri or
Papyri Graecae Magicae, a collection of ancient magical spells, formulae, hymns and rituals collection
from Graeco-Roman Egypt, a body of treatises essential to Zeena's work reviving an authentic Sethian
religion in modern times.
Continuing the Leipzig and WGT connection to the ancient Egyptian god Seth, Karl Preisendanz collected
the texts and published them in two volumes in 1928 and 1931. A projected third volume, containing new
texts and indices, reached the stage of galley proofs dated "Pentecost 1941", (WGT is always held on
Pfingsten or Pentecost) but the type was destroyed during the bombing of Leipzig during World War II.

Biography
Zeena Schreck (b. 1963, San Francisco/U.S.A) is a graphic artist, photographer, avant-garde musician,
author and animal rights activist. Between 1988-1993 she was 50% of the sonic magical musical project
Radio Werewolf and served as composer, vocalist, musician and graphic designer for all Radio Werewolf
albums and products.
At sixteen Zeena began lecturing and teaching magic and sorcery. At a comparatively young age, she held the
highest possible leadership positions in three of the most notorious occult orders of modern times:
High Priestess of The Church of Satan, High Priestess of The Temple of Set and Female Alpha of The Werewolf
Order. This unprecedented status has never been matched by any other occult figures in history.
In 1990 she rejected all forms of satanism and western occultism and publicly proclaimed such pseudo-religions
as spiritually fraudulent and inherently destructive.
Since then, she has focused her spiritual pursuits exclusively in the mystical practices of ancient Gnostic
Sethianism
and the original Eastern left-hand path of Vedic tantra (Shaktism) and Buddhist tantra (Tibetan
Buddhism
). She is an initiated yogini in the tantric Buddhist lineages of Nyingma, Karma Kagyu and
Drikung Kagyu and teaches in Berlin.

Consultations & Workshops
"Think of the people in professions who work with death and the dying, including people who kill for a living such as veterinarians who euthanize pets; soldiers; slaughter house employees who prepare animals for mass consumption; executioners in countries that have not abolished the death penalty; insect exterminators; abortionists, etc. This is not a moral judgment but a prayer to those on both sides who suffer the non-virtuous karma of the act and those who are killed. Think of all the different situations where death is surely occurring as you are in seated meditation while conducting your daily prayers. Spend at least a moment each day to contemplate your own death and remember that this life is not solid nor is tomorrow guaranteed. Do not take for granted that you or your loved ones will still be alive tomorrow." --Zeena Schreck
This month's workshop includes:
  • Instructions on how to ritualistically close each day as transition to the Sleep and Dream Bardo. Focus will be on Amitabha Buddha and related practices.
  • Mantra meditation session: Workshop includes both struck (audible sound vibration resulting from friction between or striking of two forms of matter) and unstruck (thought vibration/the sound of the celestial realm) mantra chanting and meditation practices. Familiarity with Amitabha and the corresponding mantra                   Om Ami Dewa Hri, is helpful but not necessary.
  • Shinay/Shamatha Meditation session: Each workshop ends with a silent seated meditation of calm-abiding and stilling internal monkey-chatter thoughts. This meditation is necessary for all other forms of meditation and advanced spiritual practices.
  • Q & A at the end of each workshop.
